چکیده

Visual inspection is an important process conducted as initial diagnostic step in medical examinations. It assumed that the gaze movements of orthodontist (expert) differ from those a layperson. In this study, to examine whether degree proficiency conducting visual examination can be estimated movement, we measurement experiment which facial images (frontal and lateral three patients) were viewed by ten experts laypersons. The performance discriminating subject was expert or layperson exhibited certain improvement when applying aggregation method for data, is, grid frequency AOI frequency. We examined levels could determined using machine learning techniques. results demonstrated our distinguished laypersons relatively effectively based on area interest set each face part.

Distinguishing cancerous from noncancerous cells through analysis of electrical noise.

Since 1984, electric cell-substrate impedance sensing (ECIS) has been used to monitor cell behavior in tissue culture and has proven sensitive to cell morphological changes and cell motility. We have taken ECIS measurements on several cultures of noncancerous and cancerous human ovarian surface epithelial cells. By analyzing the noise in real and imaginary electrical impedance, we demonstrate t...

Electrophysiological correlates of aesthetic processing of webpages: a comparison of experts and laypersons

We investigated whether design experts or laypersons evaluate webpages differently. Twenty participants, 10 experts and 10 laypersons, judged the aesthetic value of a webpage in an EEG-experiment. Screenshots of 150 webpages, judged as aesthetic or as unaesthetic by another 136 participants, served as stimulus material. Behaviorally, experts and laypersons evaluated unaesthetic webpages similar...

Quality control of geological voxel models using experts' gaze

Due to an expected increase in geological voxel model data-flow and user demands, the development of improved quality control for such models is crucial. This study explores the potential of a new type of quality control that improves the detection of errors by just using gaze behavior of 12 geological experts. Gaze is used as input for an attention model that results in attended areas on slice...
